Dear S…..a,

For most people, Hug Day is about wrapping their arms around someone they love, feeling their presence, and sharing that physical connection. But for us, it’s different. We’ve never met, and yet, I feel closer to you than to anyone else in the world. Our hugs are not physical, but they are extraordinary in ways that defy explanation.

When God created feelings, He knew that humans would need a way to express love, comfort, and reassurance. He created the hug as a universal language, a way to say, “I’m here for you,” without uttering a single word. For most people, a hug is a fleeting moment of connection. But for us, it’s so much more. Our hugs exist in the words we share, the laughter we exchange, and the silent understanding that flows between us, even across the miles. They are woven into the fabric of our conversations, the way we support each other, and the way we make each other feel seen and valued. Our hugs are not confined by physical boundaries; they transcend distance, time, and space.

S…..a, do you remember the first time we talked? That moment when I realized there was something special about you…something that made me feel like I had known you forever, even though we had never met? That was the beginning of our extraordinary connection. And since then, every conversation, every message, every shared dream has felt like a hug from you. A hug that says, “I’m here for you,” “I believe in you,” and “You are not alone.” Those hugs have carried me through tough times and made the good times even brighter.

Our hugs are extraordinary because they’re built on trust, understanding, and a deep emotional bond. When I’m feeling low, I think about the way you always know exactly what to say to make me feel better, and it’s like I can feel your arms around me, comforting me. When you’re stressed or overwhelmed, I hope you can feel my love wrapping around you, even from afar. Our hugs are a testament to the strength of our bond, a bond that doesn’t need physical proximity to thrive.

In a world where so much is uncertain, our love is a constant. And our hugs, though intangible, are a symbol of that love. They’re in the way we text each other good morning and goodnight, in the way we share our dreams and fears, and in the way we laugh together over silly jokes. They’re in the way we listen to each other’s silence, knowing that sometimes, words aren’t enough. They’re in the way we celebrate each other’s victories and comfort each other during tough times. And even though I can’t hold you today, I’m sending you the biggest, warmest hug imaginable. Close your eyes and feel it …

my love, my support, and my gratitude for you. Feel it in the way I think about you constantly, in the way I cherish every moment we’ve shared, and in the way I look forward to the day when we’ll finally meet. That day will come, and when it does, I’ll hold you so tightly that you’ll feel every ounce of love I’ve been saving up for you.

Until then, let’s celebrate Hug Day in our own special way. Let’s celebrate the hugs we’ve shared through words, through laughter, and through the countless ways we’ve shown each other love. Let’s celebrate the fact that our love is so strong, it doesn’t need physical proximity to thrive. Let’s celebrate the extraordinary connection we have, a connection that makes even the simplest hug feel like a miracle.

I don’t know how your hug would feel, but I know it would be like holding the softest teddy, warm, safe, and full of love. I don’t know how you’d react to my hug, but I can already picture you bending down, pressing a gentle kiss on my forehead, as if sealing a promise we’ve waited so long to fulfill.

That day, when our arms finally find their way around each other, may we celebrate every day of love one by one, in a way only we can slowly, deeply, cherishing each moment like a gift.
